Novel Cobalt Catalyst Superior to Rhodium Catalysts
- Highly Efficient, Low-Costing, and Environmentally-friendly Medicine Synthesis -

They found that a cobalt(III) catalyst in combination with an acetate ion works cooperatively and shows wider applicability than conventional rhodium(III) catalysts. This result is expected, and greatly contributes to an efficient, low-costing, and environmentally-friendly synthesis of medicines.
