- Think 20 (T20) is one of the expert groups that provides input on G20 policy recommendations. It consists of experts from research institutes and think tanks. Deputy Director Yamada and others have been participating in the preparation of T20 policy briefings since 2017 at the request of the T20 Secretariat. The final briefings are published sequentially on the website. Please have a look at it.

- LCS took part in the formulation of the policy brief Establishing an Expert Advisory Commission to assist the G20's Energy Transformation Processes as part of the initiatives of T20 (G20 think tank conference) aimed at the G20 held in Hamburg in 2017, at the request of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech). YAMADA Koichi, LCS Deputy Director-General, and TANAKA Kanako , LCS Research Group Leader, contributed as joint authors of this policy brief, sharing the research outcomes of LCS. Following participation in the subsequent Think 20 Summit Global Solutions in Berlin, LCS released comments on the four points below from the standpoint of what is needed to achieve a low carbon society, through statements at T20 along with discussions at T20 and the summit.1. During the press conference, they cited examples paving the way toward a dynamic and affluent low carbon society, including the fact that household level energy conservation will be key.
