Research Outline

Hydrogen-terminated group 4 monolayers are one of the candidate materials for exhibiting a direct band gap transition and high electron field effect mobility. To create new functional devices based on hydrogen-terminated group 4 atomic layer materials that prop up the electronics innovation, we demonstrate fundamental devices as follows, (1) n-type field effect transistor at room temperature, (2) light emitter and receiver by utilizing the direct transition, and (3) evaluation of optical/electrical spin injection and detection of monolayer for new kind of quantum devices.
