Outline

Development of new crop varieties (i.e., crop breeding) is a direct and effective solution to the food shortage problems caused by rapid population growth, paucity of arable land, and other factors. The aim of this study is the development of a rapid and efficient crop-breeding design system using phenotype prediction models based on estimated gene-function information and computer simulation for genetic transmission during the breeding process.
