Field transcriptome studies, which observes gene expression profiles of plants grown in the field at the genome level, have been recently conducted to elucidate molecular response to environmental changes. Such data can be an invaluable resource for finding genes that respond to environmental stress, including dry and cold conditions, but there is no method to efficiently analyze it. In this research, we develop a novel multiple testing procedure that analyzes field transcriptome data and detects combinatorial effects of genes linked with statistical significance to a target environmental stress condition.
