Outline

Among various environmental signals, plants rely on photoperiod to determine the most suitable season for flowering. I intend to create two types of photoperiod-sensitive rice in which reproduction will be regulated by non-coding RNAs. My long-range goal is to provide a fundamental RNA-breeding system for high-yielding crops using these photoperiod sensitive strains.
