Outline

I will realize the lowest energy and the most efficient information transfer by coherently connecting light and microwaves, whose energies are different by five orders of magnitude. More precisely, I will realize a “quantum transducer” which converts a single optical photon and a single quantum of microwave radiation (microwave photon) with 100% efficiency in both directions.
