Outline

During the developmental process, embryos show dynamical change of shape caused by gastrulation, convergent extension, neural tube closure and so on. These morphological changes seem to drive flow and force for fluid that is distributed in the intercellular space and the various cavities. In the present study, we particularly focus on the pressure and the flow of fluid and investigate whether these two factors have an impact on the development. Furthermore, by combining molecular studies and the results of this study, we develop new techniques that enable us to analyze developmental system from a single cell analysis.
