This research project aims single-cell manipulation of gene expression dynamics in the three-dimensional tissues, such as developing embryos and the adult brain. Taking advantage of the artificial manipulation system of gene expression dynamics, this project will tackle the fundamental biological problems about cellular communication in developing tissues, the circadian gene network in the suprachiasmatic nucleus, and neural network plasticity.
