Outline

To achieve the “single-cell proteomics”, the sample containing numerous proteins must be completely separated, ionized with highest efficiency, and detected with a mass spectrometer (MS). In this study, I focused on capillary electrophoresis (CE) coupled with MS (CE-MS) and will develop three novel techniques: ultra-sensitive electrospray ionization method, nL-scale dilution/concentration protocol, and rapid multi-dimension separation. By combining these three techniques together with CE-MS, I will achieve both sensitive and flexible proteomic analysis, with which I will make a challenge for “single-cell proteomics”
