Research Outline

Mesocrystals are oriented superstructures of nanocrystal building blocks. In this project, I will synthesize new metal oxide mesocrystals and investigate hidden dynamics of molecular diffusion and conversion at heterogeneous reaction sites with different crystal facets, interparticle interfaces, and mesopores by utilizing single-molecule fluorescence microscopy. Furthermore, I will develope innovative light conversion systems by integrating the mesocrystals having unique structural and physicochemical properties with different materials.
