Research Outline

I am going to create plasmonic crystals and metamaterials by making use of the mesoporous oxides having the mesoscale periodicity. The structure created will support surface plasmon polaritons possessing a high-density electric field with the frequency of the infrared to the visible, which can be coupled to and excite the molecular vibrations, lattice phonons, and interband electronic transitions. By using these novel photonic materials, I am going to exploit the technology of highly-efficient and selective material-conversion and energy-conversion.
