Outline

Chemical probes, in which the ligands (bioactive small compounds) are conjugated with reacting groups and detecting groups, are used to identify the target molecules and analyze their binding positions. The aim of this research is to develop the new, efficient and precise analytical methods for the binding modes of target proteins through the use of pyrene-conjugated chemical probes and label-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (LA-LDI MS) without matrixes. I also investigate the targets and binding modes of mammalian neurotoxins related to inflammation and pain.
