Synaptic transmission at synapses between cerebellar Purkinje cells and parallel fibers is well known to undergo long-term depression (LTD) by a brief period of activity. Although many studies have identified the molecules involved in the LTD, three critical questions remain to be elucidated: when, where and how do these molecules function in LTD?

Thus, the primary goal of this project is to clarify molecular interactions and spatiotemporal aspects of the signaling networks involved in LTD.
