Computational behavioural ecology for inferring adaptive evolution: models of phenotypic evolution and phylogenetic comparative methods

To understand the origins of biodiversity from an adaptive perspective, it is indispensable to consider the tree of life - phylogenetic relationships among species. By developing new phylogenetic comparative methods and applying to empirical datasets in evolutionary and behavioural ecology, this project aims to provide new theoretical and conceptual frameworks to infer patterns and processes of adaptive evolution.
