Quantitative modeling of cellular signal transduction

Recent advances in molecular and computational biology have made possible the study of intricate cellular signaling networks described as a function of kinetic reactions. However, it is well recognized the difficulty in developing kinetic models of signal transduction networks due to lack of quantitative kinetic parameters. To overcome this problem, in this study, I quantitatively obtain spatio-temporal kinetic parameters by using a leading-edge microscopic technology. Furthermore, with the experimentally -determined kinetic parameters, I build and analyze the kinetic model that accounts for a process of tumorigenesis. These approaches should allow us to elucidate complete codes of regulatory signaling networks for tumorigenesis.
