How do we detect and recognize visual inputs from the surrounding world? It has been reported that the visual input is analyzed in the retina and dissociated into distinct modalities of information such as color, shape, motion and depth.

The dissociated information is then transferred to the visual cortex using segregated parallel neuronal circuits. The next challenge is to understand how these dissociated information is integrated in the visual cortex to recognize visual objects.

In this project, we will visualize the segregated parallel neuronal circuits, and modify neuronal activities of each circuit to approach this question.
