Fluctuation analysis of stochastic biomolecular computation system in living cells

Recent progress in the area of single-molecule detection techniques has realized the stochastic nature of biomolecules in living cells. This leads to a fundamental question about intracellular signaling processes in general. How do living cells manage successfully to acquire noise-robust characteristics and flexibility in their information processing under the strong influence of thermal and stochastic fluctuations?

In this research project, we are going to clarify the significance and roles of the fluctuations in the dynamical behaviors of biomolecular computation systems.
