We study how to address two economic- psychological problems in the social development of demand response on the basis of behavioral economics that focuses on human boudned rationality. First, we design an incentive mechanism that address the status quo bias that household do not easily adopt demand response. Second, we propose an upgrade plan that households migrate from manual to automated demand responce.
