Outline

Dysregulation of the balance between effector T cells and regulatory T cells (Tregs) causes immunological disorders such as allergy and autoimmune diseases. Differentiation of these T cells is directed by transcription factor network and chromatin epigenetic modifications. In this project, we pursue to develop the methods that convert the effectors T cells into regulatory T cells through artificial reprograming of transcription and epigenetic changes. Furthermore, based on these results, we will develop novel strategies for the treatment of immunological diseases.
