Outline

This study aims at developing multi-isotope tracer techniques, which consist of analyzing stable isotope ratios of light elements (carbon, nitrogen and others) from soft tissue (muscle or organs) and those of heavy elements (strontium and others) from hard tissue (otolith or bones), in order to understand trophic structure and movement of coastal species for evaluating functions of coastal ecosystem.
