Outline

Fluorescence emitted when cells interact with light contains various information that reflects intracellular chemical reaction and activities of biomolecules. The goal of this research is to visualize a dynamics of the biological reaction occurring inside the cell by detecting this fluorescence and luminescence as a single photon which is the ultimate form of light. We aim to realize a technology for imaging and analyzing live cells by making use of superconducting-based photon detection, multi-pixel readout technology and information processing technology for single photon spectrum.
