Outline

In this project, we focus on the innovation of multiferroic functional devices utilizing topological phase transition, which is induced not only by external magnetic field but also electric field, in chalcogen compounds and its superlattices. Especially among them, by applying a locked electron-spin state, which has been discovered in germanium-telluride/antimony-telluride chalcogen-superlattices at room temperature, we develop innovative electronic and optical devices operating by an ultra-low power energy.
