Outline

The regulation of gene expression is thought to be dependent on the conformation of genomic DNA as folded and stored in the nucleus. In this study, we try to measure the conformational state of the genomic DNA in living cells through the combination of the sequence-specific DNA probes and super-resolution live imaging techniques. We would extend this probe technology to the manipulation of genomic DNA conformation, thereby regulating the gene expression profile without modifying the genome sequence.
