Outline

Animals can move around in an uncertain and complex environment without difficulty. On the other hand, it is very difficult for the existing robots to achieve such high mobility. In our project, we will clarify the secret of animals’ wonderful ability in view of mechanics and control, and inject it into our robots for making them locomote like real animals. Finally, we will try to make a significant advance in making robots which perform planetary exploration, disaster relief, caring, household affairs, etc.
