Development of a New Observation Method for the Single Molecule Dynamics of Protein Folding

Research Project Outline

Proteins can fold spontaneously to specific native conformations and conduct various functions; however, it is difficult to understand the dynamic properties of proteins that enable the folding. To elucidate the dynamics of protein folding, we will develop a new experimental method to observe the protein folding at the single molecule level, explore various proteins suitable for the observation method, and develop a new analysis method for the single molecule data.
