Lecture Series 2016
Peter Drummond
Hideo Mabuchi
In quantum information processing systems, dissipative coupling to external reservoirs destroys a quantum coherent process and introduces an undesired error.
In recent years, however, novel quantum information processing principles based on non-equilibrium phase transition in open-dissipative systems or measurement-feedback systems have been proposed and activity studied. The new mathematical methods to deal with those quantum systems are indispensable for accelerating such a research trend. The ImPACT project invited the two world-experts, Profs. Peter Drummond of Swinburne University of Technology and Hideo Mabuchi of Stanford University, to give a series of lectures on the subject.
