Nuclear Reaction Data Acquisition and Demonstration of Nuclear Transmutation

Purpose: Improve nuclear data accuracy and present an efficient and socially implementable transmutation process

Current Results

Beam line for each data acquisition using low-energy LLFP beam

Realized low-energization of LLFP using newly developed equipment

Extended nuclear data acquisition * to low-energy region by inverse kinematics (10 to 50 MeV)
Enabled evaluation of ** nuclear data for neutrons in this energy region.

*1) Transmutation cross-sectional area of LLFP by protons and deuterons, 2) Neutron transfer reaction cross-sectional area to LLFP
From ** 1) evaluate (n, 2n), (n, nx) cross-sectional area, From 2) evaluate neutron capture cross-sectional area
