Organic Synthetic Chemistry

  • Rotary Evaporator
    (EYELA)

A rotary evaporator is a device used for removal of solvents from samples by evaporation. Magnitude of vacuum is checked by a monitor and can be changed. Since being connected to a cooling circulation unit, and having low vacuum ability, water and high boiling point solvents are removable.

  • Draft Chamber
    (Dalton)

Since interior of a draft is always exhausted, reagents can be treated safely. The state of exhaust is checked by an equipped exhaust air monitor. Alarm sounds when exhaust volume is extraordinary. Ordinary synthetic organic reaction and opening the cap of reagents having bad smell or poison are carried out in a draft chamber. There is a strengthen glass window in front side.

  • Vacuum line

Magnitude of high vacuum is maintained in interior of a line. By connecting to this line, residual solvents and others of reagents and synthetic compounds are removable. And, drying labwares is also available.

  • Medium-Pressure Liquid Chromatograph:
    YFLC-AL580-10NW

    (Yamazen)

This is used for purifications of synthetic compounds (10mg-10g). Both normal and reverse phase are available.

  • Semi micro HPLC: Dionex U3000
    (Thermo Fisher Scientific)

This is used for purifications and analyses of synthetic compounds. A low-pressure gradient pump which can control the wide flow rate from nano to conventional flow and a detector which can monitor 4-length waves simultaneously are equipped.

  • Mass Spectrometer: micrOTOF QII
    (Bruker-Daltonics)

Fine molecular weights of synthetic compounds are measured very simply. By combination of CryoSpray, structure of organic metal complex is determined. And, it is usable as a LCMS, co-using a semi micro HPLC.

  • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer (NMR):
    ECS-400

    (JEOL)

This is used for structure determination of synthetic compounds. It is possible to measure proton, carbon, fluorine, phosphorus and others.
