Research Strategy
 Research concept of this group is “from Material to Device”. In this group, novel fullerene derivatives are designed for device applications, which have new physical properties leading to an optimized design of organic devices. Characteristic features of these fullerene derivatives are considered for applications to organic photovoltaics, organic transistors, organic LED and organic memory. For device design, fundamental physical properties such as energy level, carrier mobility and morphology in the thin film state, are focused to elucidate a correlation between molecular structure and film properties and provide an excellent performance of fullerene-based devices.
