Nano Photo/Electronics
Research Strategy
 Development of photo/electronic devices based on current microfabrication techniques will encounter limitation in structural precision. In order to break this technological dilemma, Nano Photo/Electronics group aims to develop a novel methodology for photo/electronic device preparation using supramolecular chemistry. Self-assembling process of well-designed molecules would provide functional structures in molecular-level structural precision. One of the most promising approaches is use of regular mesoporous inorganics and nanopatterned materials that can be obtained through structural translation from molecular assemblies. Highly-ordered structures with one or two dimensional regularity will be designed, and luminescence properties and electron/energy transfer behaviors in the prepared structures will be explored. The obtained knowledge leads to development of novel kinds of photonics, electronics, and ionics devices, and provide basis for molecular-bit ultrahigh density memory devices.
