The actin filament exists as a structure of the fixed length and bears the muscle contraction and the adjustment on a muscular inside. The circulation and the molecule movements of the polymerization and the escape polymerization of the actin drive the cell movement in a general cell, and a lot of cellular functions are borne. It is our research goal to want to clarify variegated behavior of these the protein actin shows from the structure of the actin filament and the swing, and to deepen our protein understanding. The actin molecule discovered to make it to monotony thinking out a new (1) the structure and the analysis methods in this project, clarifying the high-resolution structure of the actin polymer for the first time, and polymerizing. (2)The mechanism to which protein CP (The capping protein: CapZ) adjusted the polymerization and the escape polymerization on the filament edge by developing the Clio electron microscope method to clarify the structure of the actin filament edge, and using it was clarified. Like this, this project clarifies the atomic structure developing the structure and the analysis methods of the fibroid meeting body of the protein, and does an important contribution by the research that clarifies the operation principle of the actin filament in addition based on the structure.
