Research Theme
Nonlinear Information Theory: Robust Information Processing Utilizing NoiseIn the brain, networks of neurons realize robust information processing via highly irregular and stochastic activity of each neuron. In order to reveal this remarkable ability, I will develop novel mathematical theory for information processing using noisy nonlinear dynamics. Based on the theory, I will find a basic framework of next-generation information processing utilizing fluctuations and produce actual devices which process information like the brain.
