Mathematical Physics on Interfacial Tension in Nonequilibrium SystemsThere have been a lot of studies on interfacial tension under equilibrium conditions, and the relevant theories have been achieved. However, interfacial tension under nonequilibrium conditions have not been fully understood. In the present study, we will experimentally study interfacial phenomena such as transport at interfaces and spontaneous motion of a reactive droplet, and discuss on the results of experiments using fluid dynamics. Finally, we aim for mathematical and physical understanding on the interfacial tension with time change and/or spatial gradient, i.e., under nonequilibrium conditions.
