Systematic identification of long non-coding RNAs critically involved in chronic inflammation by H. pylori infection
Recent work has suggested various important functions and molecular mechanisms for long non-coding RNAs and they are also thought to play critical roles in chronic inflammation and carcinogenesis. The goal of this study is to identify novel long non-coding RNAs critically involved in chronic inflammation using Helicobacter pylori-associated gastritis as a model to study the chronic inflammation. I plan to use a next generation sequencer to obtain and compare a large number of molecular profiles from patients with gastritis or gastric cancer with / without H. pylori infection.
