Research Theme
Molecular analyses of the mechanisms of age-associated chronic inflammation by using long-lived or aging mouse models

We have demonstrated that age-associated inflammation is critically involved in the pathogenesis of lifestyle-related diseases. We also have found that such inflammation is suppressed in long-lived mice, whereas mice with premature aging phenotypes show increased inflammatory response. In the present study, we investigate the mechanisms of age-associated chronic inflammation by using long-lived or aging mouse models.
