Investigation of immunoregulatory mechanisms in the chronic inflammation after cerebral injuries
Microglia and infiltrating macrophage have a pivotal role in chronic inflammation and tissue repair after cerebral injuries. Infiltrating hematopoietic cell in the injured brain functions as a promoter or suppressor of cerebral inflammation, which depends on some endogenous factors in the brain. In this research, we focus on such endogenous factors and investigate the immunoregulatory mechanisms of chronic inflammation and tissue repair in the brain.
