Catalytic Construction of Nitrogen-Embedded Triply-Fused π-Electronic Systems

Principal Investigator

Hideki YORIMITSU (Professor, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University)

Outline of the Project

Nitrogen-containing planar π-electronic molecules play key roles in the development of organic electronics such as photovoltaics. This project aims at creating new highly efficient processes for synthesizing useful nitrogen-embedded triple-fused π-electronic molecules from simple materials with the aid of state-of-the-art transition metal catalysis, eventually contributing to significant progress of Low Carbon Technology.
