Fundamentals of Self-Contact Organic Transistors

Principal Investigator

Takehiko MORI (Professor, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology)

Outline of the Project

π-Electron systems play a principal role in organic electronics as organic semiconductors, but also work as organic electron donors and acceptors to form highly conducting charge-transfer complexes upon chemical doping.  In the present project, by selective patterned doping using a printing method, not only the active layer but also the electrode is formed from the same organic material, and the material is used as an organic semiconductor and an organic conductor at the same time to achieve all-organic electronics.
