Outline of the Project

The construction of artificial photosynthetic system, in which CO2 are reduced by the electrons generated from the oxidation of water, can be a key for the development of solar energy conversion system.
In this research, we will develop a novel group of supramolecular catalysts which can be utilized for artificial photosynthetic reaction in aqueous media by (a) designing the arrangement of redox active metal ions and (b) introducing a nano space in a molecule.
